About The Role
The National Redress Scheme (the Scheme) started on 1 July 2018, in response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The Scheme acknowledges the significant trauma caused to people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.
The Practice Lead, Education Redress Response provides operational leadership and support to a dedicated team of Redress Response Officers, delivering services under the National Redress Scheme. This role ensures the timely, accurate and sensitive coordination of document retrieval across departmental and external systems, supporting high quality responses to complex requests.
Reporting to the Manager, FOI and Information Release, the Practice Lead plays a key part in shaping and implementing actionable strategies that align with the directorates priorities and drive continuous service improvement.
Qualifications
* Essential: Nil
* Desirable: Qualifications in Public Administration, Education, Laws or related discipline.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to:
* Obtain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to employment and renew every five years.
* Complete the RRHAN‐EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online Fundamentals course, with updates every three years.
* Refer to the attached Position Description for other special conditions.
Remuneration
ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
