About the Team
The Learning Design & Technology Unit team sits within the Education Portfolio (EP) of the Division of Education and Students. The Unit consolidates expertise in digital pedagogy, the learning technology ecosystem, inclusive practices, educational media and learning experience design that enables the streamlining of support for staff, with more opportunities for innovation and a greater impact on the student experience.
About the Role
The Learner Experience Strategist provides specialist expertise to support the planning, evaluation, implementation and continuous improvement of digital learning environment (DLE) products and platforms across the University.
The role contributes to product discovery, stakeholder consultation, implementation planning and evaluation activities to ensure learning and teaching technologies are fit for purpose, scalable and aligned with institutional priorities.
The role operates at the intersection of pedagogy, technology and delivery, translating learning and teaching needs into well-defined product requirements and supporting successful adoption across faculties.
We are currently hiring for two full time positions.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Digital Learning Environment (DLE) products through product analysis, roadmap support and evaluation activities.
* Support the evaluation, testing and implementation of Generative AI (GenAI) tools and emerging technologies to enhance learning and teaching outcomes.
* Collaborate with academic, professional and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, support consultation processes and communicate product updates and impacts.
* Assist with the planning and delivery of product implementations, upgrades and adoption activities, including documentation, guidance and user engagement.
* Monitor product performance, sector trends and user feedback while ensuring compliance with governance, accessibility, privacy, security and quality standards.
Key Selection Criteria
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret learning and teaching requirements.
* Relevant experience supporting or contributing to digital learning technology initiatives in a complex organisation.
* Experience undertaking stakeholder consultation, requirements gathering or product analysis.
* Experience supporting implementation or operational delivery of systems or platforms.
Additional HEW 8 Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in business process improvement
* Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams
Salary & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $109,014 - $139,674 pa (HEW 7/8). This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

These positions are full-time, with one appointment being made on a continuing basis and the other on a fixed-term basis until 31st December 2027.
