Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) is one of the largest private irrigation companies in Australia serving over 3,000+ landholdings that is owned by our shareholder customers within an area of 378,000+ hectares. The irrigation water and drainage services we provide have helped create a diverse and highly productive agricultural region known as the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). About the role
The Stores and Logistics Officer will be reporting directly to the current Coordinator Mechanical Workshop and Stores. The Stores and Logistics Officer will:
* Provide governance, inventory management, procurement, storage and physical distribution of goods & materials
* Proactively manage materials including receiving, handling and despatching purchased goods at designated material storage locations as per the approved process & safety plans.
* Ensure accurate documentation, recording and monitoring of product is adhered to.
* Be responsible for movement and storage of products. Unload and load trucks whilst monitoring the project key performance indicators such as safety, quality, damage & dispatch timeframes.
* Ensure that a high level of housekeeping is maintained within the material storage areas.
What you will bring
* Current 'C' class motor vehicle licence
* Forklift licence
* A high level of initiative, the ability to think laterally and work autonomously as required
* Ability to foster a positive and productive relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated and proactive Health and Safety Leadership and a personal commitment to Health and Safety procedures, policies and plans.
* Live in or be willing to relocate to the Griffith Area (or its surrounds).
* A 'can do' attitude focused on delivering outcomes
* Commitment to a strong values culture and a preparedness to 'walk the talk'.
