Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service – Aboriginal Corporation (TAMS)
We are seeking a caring and committed Registered Nurse – Practice Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
As part of our Practice Nurse team, you will work alongside GPs, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and allied health staff to provide holistic, high-quality clinical care.
* Conducting health assessments, care planning, and follow-up care
* Providing wound care, immunisations, and chronic disease support
* Supporting preventive health programs and patient education
* Collaborating with our team to ensure culturally safe, patient-centred care
* Contributing to quality improvement and clinical governance activities
* Supporting our Aboriginal Health Workers and trainees in their development
Requirements:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Experience in primary health, Aboriginal health, or general practice nursing
* A strong commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal people and communities
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Understanding of culturally appropriate healthcare delivery
* Current CPR certificate, immunisation status, and a valid NSW Working with Children Check
* Familiarity with clinical software (e.g. Best Practice) is desirable
