About the role
As a Yard Co-Ordinator at BA Pumps & Sprayers, you will play a crucial role in the efficient organisation of the company's warehousing and distribution operations based in Geelong, VIC. This full-time position is an integral part of the logistics team, ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials through the company's facilities.
What you'll be doing
* Managing the placement and storage of goods and materials to optimise space utilisation and workflow
* Operating a Forklift, loading and unloading trucks daily. (On site and travelling on public road, both Forklift and Driver's license are essential)
* Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring accurate records are maintained
* Communicating with drivers, suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues or delays
* Picking, packing and palletising goods for shipping.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
* Continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency and productivity in the workplace
* Maintaining clean, safe and efficient yards/warehouses at both of our sites which are situated adjacent to each other
What we're looking for
* Experience in a similar yard co-ordination or logistics role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or warehousing industries
* Experience with loading trucks with non-palletised loads
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with a range of stakeholders
* This is a hands on role. Ability to use hand and power tools is a must.
* Forklift licence and experience in operating materials handling equipment
* Knowledge of warehousing, inventory and logistics best practices
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
