About the Role

As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for planning, executing and completing audit engagements across a broad range of clients. You'll work closely with partners and managers, lead fieldwork, review workpapers and financial statements, and guide junior team members in their development.

You will contribute directly to the stability and growth of our Newcastle practice, helping us deliver clear, thorough, and reliable audit outcomes.

Your responsibilities include:

* Leading and managing audit engagements from planning through to completion.
* Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with auditing and accounting standards.
* Providing guidance, supervision, and mentoring to junior team members.
* Building and maintaining strong, trusting client relationships.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting firm-wide growth initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

* Holds a Commerce/Business degree with an Accounting major.
* Is CA/CPA qualified or progressing toward completion.
* Brings 3+ years' external audit experience, ideally within public practice.
* Has strong technical knowledge of accounting and audit standards.
* Communicates with clarity, confidence, and care – in plain English.
* Builds strong relationships and works well with clients, teams, and partners.
* Notices the details, asks questions, and strives for continuous improvement.
* Holds full Australian work rights.

If you are grounded, thoughtful, and dedicated to doing work that stands up to scrutiny, you'll thrive here.

What We Offer

We believe clarity starts from within. That means a workplace where you know what's expected, feel supported, and can develop at your own pace.

You will enjoy:

* An attractive salary package.
* Flexible working arrangements and sensible, balanced hours.
* A grounded, friendly, and supportive team culture.
* Direct access to partners and senior leaders.
* Exposure to rewarding work across a variety of industries.
* National training programmes and ongoing professional development.
* Internal and external training opportunities.
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for wellbeing support.
* Reward and Recognition initiatives.
* Ability to purchase additional leave.
* Time-in-lieu policy.
* Regular social events and team connections.

You'll be part of a firm that values dedication, excellence, and clarity – and backs you with the resources to grow your career.
