About The Role
The Senior Social Worker is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team (MDT), providing quality services to renal patients/clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) to meet their health and wellbeing needs. The Renal multidisciplinary team includes a Nephrologist, Nurse Practitioner, Dietitian, Pharmacist, Aboriginal Health Care Worker and Nurses. The role will work across a variety of settings including hospital, dialysis units and community and will collaborate with other health professionals to support end stage kidney disease patients to live well.
As the Renal Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for:
* Provision of a comprehensive, high level, quality clinical services in line with best practice, including services of a complex nature, to people across MLHD.
* Providing a consultative service and clinical expertise in renal psychosocial issues.
* Providing high quality Social Work supervision, education and support of Social Work staff, allied health assistants and students across where required.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in delivery of high-quality evidence based Social Work in the field of healthcare and chronic disease related psychosocial supports.
* Strong leadership within a multidisciplinary team setting
* Excellence in communication skills and problem-solving
