The Role
We are looking for experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Kangaroo Flat home, in Kangaroo Flat, home to 50 residents.
* Providing excellent, resident-focused care in relation to specialised nursing needs, such as management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
* Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents
* Overseeing the administration of day-to-day tasks as relates to the provision of clinical care to achieve best resident outcomes and undertaking clinical monitoring of residents and escalating changes as required
* Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy
* Provide guidance and support to the care team, including Personal Care workers and Enrolled Nurses
About you
* Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) and registration with AHPRA as a Division 1
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or the ability to obtain
* Good judgement and decision-making skills; able to respond quickly to issues and effectively resolve
* The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
* An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
* A high level of accountability for your own work
* A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
