Maritime Systems Engineer

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Maritime Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of our Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs), and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs).

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain AUVs for offshore tasks, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
* Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute operations required by the scope of work, adhering to strict deadlines and budgets.
* Provide technical guidance and support for RAS & AI systems, data, and sensors, including written advice and recommendations.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Conduct routine maintenance and operation of AUV equipment, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and colleagues, to discuss risks, challenges, and capabilities.
* Support the operational team with technical expertise, providing input on system preparations, tests, trials, and deployments.
* Assist in managing RAS assets for testing, customer operations, and demonstrations, including interfacing with vessel service providers and maintaining facilities and tools required to support operations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to autonomous systems, leveraging problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

Requirements:

* A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or marine science, with a strong foundation in technical principles and practices.
* Proven experience working with autonomous systems, with a focus on operation, maintenance, and technical support.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information and client relationships.
* A background in the maritime industry, with knowledge of offshore operations and protocols.
