You'll lead daily operations of a large-scale, free-range poultry farm, working closely with senior leadership to ensure smooth performance across animal welfare, team coordination, and data-driven decision-making.
The Role As Farm Manager, you'll oversee a complex meat chicken operation consisting of more than 50 sheds across both brooding and grow-out stages.
With live data systems in place and a skilled, multicultural team on site, your focus will be on maintaining animal health, streamlining operations, and fostering accountability across all staff.
Key Responsibilities Lead a multi-functional farm team across daily shed operations, animal care, and seasonal tasks Ensure optimal setup and performance of brooding and grow-out environments, including ventilation systems Use farm data systems to identify trends, manage performance, and implement continuous improvement Coordinate closely with downstream operations (including on-site processing) to ensure end-to-end performance Implement and maintain effective rosters, staffing plans, and task delegation Be hands-on and visible across sheds engaging with the team, problem-solving in real time, and driving results Support systems development, SOP improvement, and interdepartmental collaboration What You'll Bring Strong leadership and people management experience, ideally in intensive livestock or agriculture Practical, solutions-oriented management style.
