The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Mood Disorder Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Work closely with the Mood Disorder Consultant to coordinate and triage referrals and provide assessments (including rate scales)
* Arrange and structure clinics
* Assist in the collection of clinical outcome data, oversee the management of data basis
* Input treatment outcomes into a data base to contribute to research regarding Mood Disorders
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
* Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
* Be credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
* A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Permanent part time (48 hours per fortnight)
* Base salary ranging from $56.08 - $60.05 per hour
About Us
The Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) and Neurostimulation team provides ECT and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) to consumers currently accessing Gold Coast public mental health services. The Mood Disorder Specialist Service also work closely with our team. This service offers a specialist assessment to identify Mood Disorders. Advice regarding psychological treatment, medication and referral onto treatments including ECT, rTMS and clinical trials.
