The Role
The LNIC Information Manager is responsible for the governance, organisation, and strategic management of the organization's information assets, ensuring that they are secure, accessible, and used effectively across teams. This role oversees the use and integration of key systems including Drupal, Objective ECM, Confluence, and Jira to support information lifecycle management, collaboration, and compliance. This role will be accountable for LNIC Information management process and access on both the Defence Protected Environment and the Defence Secret Environment IM platforms.
The Information Manager plays a critical role in managing commercially sensitive information, ensuring that data is classified, stored, and shared in accordance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. They will support continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring that business information systems are aligned with organizational needs and industry best practices.
About our Team
The Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) mission is to advise Army on its digital network integration efforts to maximise interoperability across Land, Joint and Coalition interface boundaries and to meet critical information exchange requirements. The intent is to ensure that Army's investments are integrated to maximise the operational functions of individual projects within the Army Operating System.
The LNIC Information Manager will work closely with the LNIC Teams (Exec, Advice, Design, Validate and Engineering) to ensure information is managed and then available through existing Defence Information Platforms. This will enable timely integration decision to be action through the LNIC Exec back to LCD Project Owners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong information management background covering standards, procedures, policies and regulations. The candidate will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of IM implementation at LNIC on Defence systems covering structures, taxonomy and IM web content i.e. Drupal, Objective ECM, JIRA products and workflow management. The candidate will lead digital transformation at LNIC with a focus on ensuring systems and processes enable Knowledge Management for the LNIC Exec. The ideal candidate will need to adaptive to changes, flexible and professional in all aspects of the work at LNIC.
