**Our journey**
The **Victorian Heart Hospital** will be Australia's first dedicated heart hospital and is nearing its final stages of construction. It will include a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac care, including cardiac theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratories, emergency, intensive care, and ambulatory services such as cardiac CT, echocardiography and specialist consultation. It will also feature a unique, patient centred model of care. The **Victorian Heart Hospital** will also play a key role in advancing research and teaching and will be home to the Victorian Heart Institute, a brand new, health and medical research organisation at Monash University.
**About Security Systems**
A Security Systems Support Officer is required to assist the Monash Health Security Systems Team to test and commission the electronic security systems at the **Victorian Heart Hospital**. This will include testing and commissioning access control, CCTV, duress and intrusion alarm systems along with providing support to the Monash Health Project and Commissioning Teams. The position offers an opportunity to gain a rare and valuable skill set which will be of significant advantage for anyone wanting to gain experience in this field or expand work opportunities.

In this important role, you will be involved in testing and commissioning the security systems installed in the VHH and providing support to the project team and other commissioning teams
- Testing and commissioning access control, CCTV, duress, intrusion alarm and intercom systems
- Programming and managing cardholder access for the project team and other commissioning teams
- Assisting the Security Systems Manager and Security Systems Administrators with other administration tasks as required
**What You Bring**
Working closely with the Monash Health Security Systems Team, On-site Monash Health Security Team, the Contracted Security Systems Installer & Integrator, the Monash Health Project Team, other Monash Health Commissioning Teams and External Builders, Contractors & Project Teams you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- A working knowledge of security systems including access control, CCTV, duress, intrusion alarm and integrated intercom systems
- A working knowledge of Siemens Sipass access control software and GENETEC CCTV software will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in a role where you have been exposed to and used security systems software and/or been involved in a similar testing and commissioning role
**On a personal level, you will demonstrate**:
- Computer literacy and good working knowledge of the MS suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and an ability to work unsupervised to achieve set goals in a defined time frame
- Flexibility to work at a couple of different sites doing different tasks depending on requirements
**What you need**:
- A Victorian Security Licence will be highly regarded
- A provisional or open driver's licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle or an ability to attend sites as required reliably
