Job Summary:
Light & Wonder is in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. This position entails ensuring invoices and payments are processed efficiently and accurately, while upholding excellent customer service and policy adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Accurately and efficiently process incoming invoices from vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Enter invoice details into the accounting system accurately, maintaining a high level of data integrity.- Payment Processing: Prepare and review payment batches for accuracy.- Vendor Communication: Correspond with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other accounts payable-related matters in a timely and professional manner. Assist in maintaining positive relationships with vendors through timely payments and effective communication.- Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and discrepancies are addressed promptly.- Document Management: Maintain organized electronic and physical records of invoices, payments, and other accounts payable documents for audit and reference purposes.- Expense Coding: Assign appropriate general ledger codes to invoices and expenses to facilitate accurate financial reporting.- Month-end Close Activities: Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting as needed.- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements, including tax regulations and vendor contracts.- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, finance, and other departments, to resolve issues and improve overall accounts payable processes.- Audit Support: Assist auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts payable activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate/Diploma in Accounting highly regarded but are not essential.
**Experience**:
- Minimum 4 years professional experience in Accounts Payables
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, procedures, and best practices.- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Navision, SAP, Oracle- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
