Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineering Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) with a strong possibility to go permanent. This role is based in Sydney and is primarily focused on enterprise on-prem networking, with exposure to Azure and AWS in a hybrid environment. Experience supporting ASX or trading network connectivity will be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities
Support and enhance enterprise on-prem network infrastructure
Manage routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity
Assist with hybrid network connectivity across on-prem and cloud platforms
Configure and support Azure and/or AWS network components
Troubleshoot complex issues in live production environments
Engage directly with client stakeholders in a delivery-focused role
Required experience
Strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking environments
Solid knowledge of routing, switching, and network security
Proven troubleshooting experience in production environments
Exposure to Azure and/or AWS networking
Experience with Palo Alto (highly regarded)
Comfortable working in client-facing roles
ASX or financial trading network experience
Hybrid network design exposure
Financial services background (desirable)
CCNA / CCNP or similar certifications
