Details - Senior Officer, Academic Standards
The Senior Officer provides support for the functions of the Academic Standards Unit. Responsibilities will include data management and analysis, monitoring and administering TEQSA quality and compliance activities and identifying and reporting on noncompliance issues.
The Senior Officer will liaise with stakeholders across the university to provide guidance on quality and compliance requirements to ensure La Trobe’s continued adherence to TEQSA’s Higher Education Standards Framework and its associated TEQSA registration.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- An undergraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge in an administrative field, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in educational risk, compliance or regulatory matters developed through relevant experience and application.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
