Job Title Training Advisor Job Roster Lifestyle friendly 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth to Leonora Competitive remuneration Job Summary Responsible for the delivery of specialised technical training activities in the organisation Job Statement Genesis is currently seeking applications for a Training Advisor based at our Leonora Operations. Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety and operational training to promote a culture of safety and compliance for the Leonora Operations. This is a full-time permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora and Laverton. The opportunity: • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and site-specific inductions for employees and contractors. • Plan, schedule, and deliver training sessions, including Verification of Competency (VoC) assessments, refresher training, and compliance modules. • Maintain accurate training records in the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring timely updates and data integrity. • Develop and maintain training systems for all workers and visitors to ensure statutory compliance and the safe, efficient achievement of company objectives. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and monitoring that training systems reflect current work practices, procedures, and processes. • Support the development, review, and rollout of training materials, packages, and procedures in collaboration with SMEs and external providers. • Collaborate with Department Managers and subject matter experts to maintain training needs analysis for all job roles and maintain an operations training matrix to ensure employees receive the appropriate training to fulfill their job responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the company. • Coordinate the planning, approval, and scheduling of training to ensure employees acquire the required knowledge and skills to be deemed competent to perform tasks specific to their role. • Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and deliver safety and operational training programs and packages specific to the needs of different departments and job roles. • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and packages through task observations, assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement. • Assist with the implementation and auditing of competency-based frameworks, aligning with role profiles and regulatory standards. • Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors and team leaders on training planning and employee development. • Participate in internal and external audits and assist with compliance reporting. • Uphold and promote company values such as safety, accountability, and a commitment to people-first training strategies.
