The Opportunity

The Morgans Mackay Branch is seeking a full‑time Business Graduate to join our team. This opportunity is suited to candidates who have completed, or are in the final stages of completing, a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance, or accountancy. Part‑time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate currently completing their degree.

This role provides a clear and structured pathway into the financial planning profession, supporting your progression toward becoming a registered financial adviser. You will gain hands‑on experience assisting clients with superannuation, investments, and broader financial strategy while working closely with experienced advisers.

What You Will Be Doing

Initially, you will support the day‑to‑day operations of the business while undertaking a structured long‑term career development plan. Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting advisers with administrative and operational requirements

* Telephone answering and general reception and office duties

* Providing direct assistance to clients with general administration needs

* Preparing client correspondence and other written communications

* Arranging and preparing for client review meetings, and assisting with the implementation of advice

* Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date client records

* Providing general information to clients on companies, stock prices, and market activity

Once education and workplace requirements are met, you may be enrolled in the Morgans Professional Year Program, providing real‑world experience in servicing clients and supporting your progression toward registration as a financial adviser.

What you will bring

· Currently reside in Mackay, or be willing to relocate to and be based in regional Queensland to undertake the role

· A relevant bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance, or accountancy, or extensive industry experience with a commitment to completing further academic study

· A genuine interest in financial markets and the operation of the advice industry

· Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

· Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving abilities

· A client‑focused mindset

· Proficient computer skills

· Self‑motivation and the ability to manage deadlines effectively

· The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team

· A positive attitude and a good sense of humour
