About the Role
This role's purpose is to spread counterparty financials, conduct financial analyses on financials, make recommendations based on analysis and prepare write‐ups of large credit requests where credit memorandums are to be submitted to the SG Fleet Credit Committee for consideration and decisioning. The incumbent is also required to utilise credit risk assessment skills and apply well‐reasoned credit rationale to recommend credit proposals for approval or otherwise.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Partner and interact daily with the SGF Sales Team to ensure that all credit applications and tasks are decisioned within SG Fleet's Credit policy.
* Decision Corporate Credit applications within SG Fleet Credit Policy and Delegated Credit Authority limits.
* Ensure compliance and consistent application of policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Provide day‐to‐day support to the Manager, Credit Risk and to the Head of Credit on an ad‐hoc basis.
* Assist with problem solving, training, and mentoring of less experienced credit team members when required.
Skills and Experience
* Tertiary Qualification in Business related discipline, preferably in accounting and/or banking.
* Demonstrated experience at reading and analysing independently corporate financial statements and associated risk assessments.
* Advanced understanding and demonstrated experience with credit frameworks and policies.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Good credit underwriting skills.
* Strong technical/numerical skills including critical analysis and problem solving.
* Strong discipline and adherence to processes.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Excellent competency with MS Office Suite.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload appropriately.
* Solid business acumen and commercial awareness.
* Understanding of consumer finance procedures and administration.
* Understanding of legal documentation in relation to Consumer Credit Act.
* Understanding of general legal process for the collection of debt.
* Current knowledge of fleet management products, services, systems, and processes is ideal.
