VSSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of our justice system.The Policy and Strategy Unit in VSSR leads the development and implementation of victims policy within DJCS and across government, including Victoria's participation in the National Redress Scheme and implements major system reforms.About The RoleThis role will suit a creative policy thinker who enjoys working in a dynamic and high performing environment, and will work cooperatively as a member of the team through;Supporting and adhering to the organisational vision, policies, guidelines and procedures.Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective outcomes for victims of crime.Providing high quality advice to Ministers, DJCS senior management and key stakeholders on victims' issues.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Demonstrated analytical and policy skills, including the use of data to inform policy development.Demonstrated experience in coordinating government business, including correspondence, parliamentary, Cabinet and Government decision-making processes.Experience in reporting, ideally within a government context.Skills to support the secretariat function for the Victims of Crime Consultative Committee and other project committees.Understanding of victims' issues, in particular family violence, sexual assault, financial assistance for victims or the criminal justice system.Qualifications/RequirementsA tertiary qualification in a relevant area such as public policy, public administration, law, human or social sciences will be highly regarded.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
