Position details
A casual position within the Launceston General Hospital provides a high standard of patient, client, visitor, and customer focused clerical, administrative, financial and reception services across the LGH. This includes high quality patient/customer focused reception skills and the ability to provide administrative and clerical support across all areas of the LGH.
Eligibility and Award
Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 2
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 pro rata, per annum (plus 12% employer superannuation contribution).
Details of appointment
Fixed term, casual, day worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. This selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary and benefits
Salary packaging available with access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other eligible benefits. Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard of patient, client, visitor, and customer focused clerical, administrative, financial and reception services across the LGH.
* Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with the public and all disciplines of professional staff.
* Demonstrate time management skills, ability to work autonomously, prioritise workloads, and apply flexibility, speed and accuracy in a busy public environment.
* Provide rapid and accurate data entry, and use Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of LGH health information systems or the ability to acquire it.
Selection criteria
* Current Working with Children Registration where applicable.
* Desirable: previous experience in a health care environment or health-related databases.
