Your new role
Based in Perth, with travel across WA and internationally, you'll support the current Project Manager in delivering key infrastructure components for the SKA Observatory.
This intergovernmental organisation operates across the UK, Australia, and South Africa. You'll oversee the installation of civil, electrical, fibre, networks, and construction camp infrastructure.
You'll lead and coordinate internal teams-project control, engineering, procurement, assurance, and operations-to guide and support contractors.
You'll manage three major infrastructure contracts:
Low Infrastructure 5 - Site Monitoring (procurement & delivery)
Low Infrastructure 6 - Camp Management
Low Infrastructure 8 - Fibre Design & Build
You'll also coordinate the fit-out of a large on-site data processing facility, including 15+ remote data centres.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree or equivalent in engineering or project management
* Domain knowledge in civils, electrical, fibre, networks, and camp management
* Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects
* Strong contract management and stakeholder engagement skills
* Familiarity with tools like
Primavera P6, Jira, PowerBI
(desirable)
* Ability to lead geographically dispersed, multicultural teams across time zones
* Experience managing infrastructure contracts from procurement to delivery
* Oversight of computing, networking, and power system installations
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and international vendors
* Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
What you'll get in return
* Salary: $160,000-$180,000 per year
