About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Officer to join our client's finance team. The Finance Officer will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working across a range of financial functions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time
* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Maintain financial records and ensure all documentation is properly filed and compliant
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors when required
* Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
* Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
* Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, SAP)
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
