About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and based in Landsdale, the Office Manager plays a critical role in keeping our business running smoothly, efficiently and compliantly. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and being the "go‐to" person for coordination across the business.
The role provides administrative and operational support across the entire business, including HR administration, safety coordination, assets and infrastructure maintenance, systems, compliance, and general office operations. You will support our MD through effective scheduling, email management, event coordination, and you will support all staff more generally for ad‐hoc queries. You will enjoy being the 'face of Ascon' for all client calls, enquiries and follow ups, and genuinely love being the 'glue' that holds us all together.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate day‐to‐day office administration and operations
* Manage HR administration including onboarding, offboarding, uniforms, leave coordination, training records and staff documentation
* Support safety coordination including incident reporting, registers and required documentation
* Coordinate vehicle maintenance, equipment and asset registers
* Provide operational support including job setup administration, office and site supplies, and staff assistance
* Coordinate insurances, licences, software and compliance registers
* Liaise with external service providers (IT support, insurers, suppliers and contractors)
* Support business systems administration (Microsoft 365, Dropbox/OneDrive, HRIS and reporting)
* Assist with basic marketing administration including website updates and social media scheduling (execution only)
About You
As a highly experienced and well‐rounded Office Manager, you'll be very organised, dependable and comfortable working autonomously in an agile business environment. You're proactive, solutions‐focused and take pride in keeping systems, records and processes running seamlessly. You will bring:
* More than 5 years of practical work experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated experience in office management, administration or business support
* Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft 365 and document management systems
* Excellent organisation, time‐management and attention to detail
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting HR and/or safety processes (desirable)
* Experience liaising with external suppliers and service providers (desirable)
