We're working with a leading financial institution to hire a Market Risk Analyst into their Financial Markets Risk team.
This role sits within a high-visibility market risk oversight function, supporting a major multi-year transformation program focused on implementing a new market risk system.
It's a great opportunity to step into a role where you'll gain real exposure to trading activity, risk frameworks, and decision-making, rather than just reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
* Monitoring trading activity and analysing market risk metrics (VaR, sensitivities, stress testing)
* Supporting oversight of interest rate and FX trading portfolios
* Understanding and explaining P&L drivers and emerging risks
* Contributing to risk governance, limits, and framework improvements
* Supporting the transition and oversight during a major system implementation
* Working closely with teams across Financial Markets, Treasury, and Risk
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone early in their career looking to step up.
* 1-2 years' experience in financial markets or market risk (ideal but not essential)
* Strong interest in market risk and trading environments
* Exposure to or interest in coding (Python, SQL, VBA, etc.) is a bonus
* Strong attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
