In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate and insightful financial and statutory reporting, strengthening financial controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.**Here's how you will make a difference in this role...*** Be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, auditors, and regulators* Drive meaningful improvements in financial processes and systems* Work across a diverse and evolving complex business with exposure to strategic initiatives* Lead and mentor team members (one direct report) to enhance your leadership capabilities* Contribute to high-profile reporting, including regulatory submissions and group financial statements**At MMS clear expectations help our people Be the Difference.****Your key responsibilities in this role will include:**You'll take ownership of core financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across the group.**Key responsibilities include:****Financial & Statutory Reporting*** Deliver timely and accurate statutory and regulatory reporting (including APRA & ABS)* Prepare and review financial statements in line with accounting standards* Provide insightful analysis and commentary to support internal reporting, investor materials, and strategic initiatives* Support dividend calculations and Board reporting processes* Partner with FP&A and commercial teams on technical accounting matters**Month-End & Financial Control*** Lead month-end close processes and group reconciliations* Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliation and review practices* Maintain strong governance and compliance with internal policies**Process Improvement & Automation*** Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance reporting processes* Drive continuous improvement across financial control frameworks**Leadership & Collaboration*** Mentor and support team members to build capabilities in the team* Collaborate across finance and the broader business on key initiatives and projects**To be considered for this role you will have:**You're a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys improving the way things are done.* CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)* Strong technical accounting expertise (IFRS and regulatory reporting such as APRA will be advantageous)* Proven experience in financial reporting, controls, and month-end processes* Excel skills and experience with ERP systems* A track record of process improvement and driving efficiencies* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders* A passion for mentoring and developing others**What we can offer you:**· **Strong culture and the support of a values-based recognition program**· **Novated leasing benefits and discounts**· **12 weeks paid parental leave** · **Comprehensive learning and development opportunities** to support your career growth· **Sonder digital wellbeing platform**, providing personalised support 24/7, plus annual flu vaccinations· **Default Income Protection Insurance** reimbursed for members of the MMS Default Super Fund· **Exempt Employee Share Plan**· **Volunteer leave & Career break**· **MMS Rewards program** Embracing our value of **Everyone Matters** we hold a collective commitment to foster an environment where all differences are valued and respected. · We encourage individuals from all backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, those caring for someone or living with a disability, LGBTQIA+ and culturally diverse applicants to apply.· We value the skills and attributes veterans can bring to our organisation.· We embrace hybrid working and welcome conversations about flexibility.Please note all successful candidates will undergo background checks (including criminal history and ASIC checks) and an NDIS Workers Screening Check if appropriate.
