Position
Bacchus Marsh Grammar is an independent, co-educational non-denominational, Prep to Year 12 School with three vibrant campuses in Melbourne's west. The school prides itself on being an employer of choice and the professionalism, diligence and quality of its staff.
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Administrator provides administration assistance to support the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Administrator supports a range of administrative duties including;
* Recruitment coordination
* Onboarding documentation
* Probation tracking
* Offboarding administration
* Leave recording
* Compliance checks and HR systems data entry
* General Human Resources Administration support including but not limited to preparing routine correspondence and maintenance of organised filing, archiving and document control systems
This is a fixed term contract position until the end of January 2027. The successful applicant will work on a part time basis – up to 15 hours per week. Applicants seeking a casual position are also encouraged to apply.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications/Licences
* Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; or demonstrated equivalent administrative experience.
* Current Working with Children Check (Employment).
* National Criminal Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
The Human Resources Administrator requires the following key skills and experience:
* Demonstrated experience in an administrative role, preferably within a Human Resources, recruitment or education environment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines whilst possessing the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a range of stakeholders.
* Sound customer service skills and the ability to respond to general enquiries in a courteous and confidential manner.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel), with the ability to learn and use HR information systems (e.g. Synergetic).
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also managing routine tasks independently.
