Trade Assistant - Engineering Workshop
Day Shift | $32+ per hour | Monday to Friday
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to join our client\'s busy engineering workshop in Thurgoona. The client is a long-established metal fabrication and site installation specialist involved in delivering major infrastructure projects across Australia. With over 25 years of experience, they manufacture and install structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum and sheet metal components for projects ranging from bridges and commercial buildings to railway systems. They are recognised as leaders in quality, innovation and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Using power tools to grind and prepare parts
- Grinding and cleaning welds
- Performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and tidy work area
- Collecting and delivering parts to fabricators as required
What we\'re looking for
- Previous experience using hand and power tools (grinders, drills, etc.)
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable transport
