Job Description:
This role involves providing support and guidance to young people in custody, helping them to make positive life choices and develop essential skills. As a Youth Officer, you will work closely with colleagues to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and engage with young people in custody, providing individual support and guidance as needed.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement programs and activities that promote positive outcomes for young people.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring that information is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
* Contribute to a culture of excellence, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum Provisional 2 NSW driver's licence.
* National Background Police Check.
* NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
* Possession or willingness to obtain the 'Provide First Aid Certificate' (HLTAID011).
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Medical and Fitness Assessment to determine suitability for the role.
