The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Mental Health - Acute Care Team Community) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Provide the delivery of care in a variety of hospital and community settings
* Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the practice supervision
* Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinical staff
* Provide comprehensive care to consumers with an acute mental health issue
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
* Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
* Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
* A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
* Driver Licence
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Permanent full time and permanent part time (64 - 76 hrs p.f)
* Base salary ranging from $124 991 - $127 616 per annum, $63.03 - $64.36 per hour
