About your new Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join the team on a 12-month contract with a view to permanency. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting system improvements while thriving in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key responsibilities
- Month-end reporting including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, investigating variances
- Assisting with statutory reporting and year-end audit requirements
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and assisting with tax reporting
- Supporting ERP migration, UAT testing and process improvements
- Contributing to data integrity testing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Reviewing supplier payment runs and direct debit processes for accuracy and compliance
- Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the Financial Controller
About You
- CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion)
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant in a commercial environment
- Strong Excel skills and ERP system exposure
- Balance sheet reconciliation expertise and solid technical accounting knowledge
- Experience assisting with UAT or system implementations highly desirable
- Calm, collected and resilient, able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
