What you'll be doing
The purpose of a Clinical Trial Coordinator Registered Nurse (CTC) is to work in a team environment, managing a caseload of patients participating in Oncology and Haematology Clinical trials. The role requires project management and patient coordination skills, attention to detail, prioritisation, and an enthusiasm for learning.
Clinical skills are also an essential part of the role with every patient appointment including drug administration, patient assessment and cannulation/venepuncture. CTCs ensure research is conducted in accordance with the protocol, the sponsor, and the ethical guidelines for Good Clinical Practice to achieve high quality data for research. CTCs promote safe, efficient, and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

The MNCLHD are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our amazing team in the Clinical Trials Unit at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
About you
- Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge and ability in Oncology Nursing and/or previous experience in clinical trials preferred.
- Venipuncture/phlebotomy skills desirable
- Proven clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome based care.
