Job Description
Reporting to the CHPP Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, cost‐effective and target‐driven environment through effective leadership and setting achievable maintenance goals.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a safe workplace, providing visible leadership and coordinating the production team to achieve targets.
* Ensure coal is processed for delivery in accordance with daily and weekly plans, meeting agreed performance KPIs for safety, quality and production.
* Provide valuable contributions and guidance to direct reports while encouraging ownership.
* Effectively supervise and instruct teams to meet planned outcomes and hold them accountable to expected standards of behaviour and performance.
* Monitor tasks to ensure they are undertaken safely and comply with applicable policies, plans and procedures.
* Identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety and environment.
Roster and Location
* 4‐panel roster (12‐hour shifts – rotating day/night).
* Based at the HVO site.
Qualifications
* Electrical or Mechanical Trade and/or Engineering qualification (highly desirable).
* Experienced leader with a background in the CHPP environment.
* High level planning and negotiation skills with the ability to positively influence others to deliver required outcomes.
* Familiarity with and understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
* Safety conscious, prepared to challenge the norm and drive continuous improvement with a can‐do attitude.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
* Working knowledge of the SAP PM module (advantageous).
