If this is what drives you too, then come join our team! We are seeking a Fleet Mechanic/Drill Fitter to work on our Underground Rigs, as well as associated equipment and vehicles. Experienced candidates with extensive mechanical maintenance, vehicle maintenance and hydraulic repair backgrounds are welcome; previous drill rig experience is not essential. The successful candidate will work an 8:6 or 14:7 Fly-in / Fly-out roster. The position is in Western Australia based at one of our client sites. Shifts will be 12 hours, dayshift only.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repairs to Boart Longyear's Underground LM and MDR range of Drill Rigs / Newlands Erebus Mobile Rigs, as well as associated equipment.
* Maintenance and repairs of heavy and light vehicles.
* Completion of preventative maintenance tasks and records.
* Maintaining adequate stock levels of spare parts.
* Time and maintenance record keeping.
* Work order creation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Solid previous experience carrying out drill and/or vehicle maintenance.
* Knowledge and understanding of electronic control systems.
* Qualifications in related field (e.g., Diesel or Mechanical Fitter certification).
* Solid background carrying out maintenance and repairs to light and heavy vehicles.
* Basic understanding of electrical circuitry / PLC controls.
* Fire-suppression qualification is not essential but highly advantageous.
* SIBS training is not essential but highly advantageous.
* Basic computing skills.
* Current and valid Driver's License.
* National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old) or willingness to obtain one.
* Demonstrated personal commitment to safety.
