Assistant Development Manager

B.P. Wharton is a privately owned property development and investment group focused on delivering high-quality commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments across Southeast Queensland.We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Development Manager to join our team and support the delivery of multiple development projects from acquisition through to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Development Director and broader project team, the Assistant Development Manager will assist in managing development projects across planning, design, feasibility, approvals, construction and sales.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career in property development and gain exposure to all aspects of the development process.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the management of development projects from acquisition through to completionSupport site acquisition and due diligence including planning reviews, feasibility analysis and consultant coordinationPrepare and update development feasibilities and financial modelsAssist in managing consultant teams including architects, planners, engineers and project managersCoordinate development approvals including council submissions and planning documentationMonitor project programmes, budgets and timelinesAssist with builder procurement and contract administrationSupport sales and leasing strategies including liaison with project agents and marketing teamsAssist with project reporting for internal stakeholders and investorsConduct market research and comparable analysis for potential acquisitions and development opportunities
About You
Experience in property development, project management, Real Estate, valuation, construction or quantity surveying highly regarded.Degree in Property Economics, Property Development, Construction Management, Planning or similar.Strong understanding of the property development process.High level financial and analytical capability.Strong communication and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks across different projects.Highly motivated with a strong interest in commercial, industrial and mixed-use property development
