About this Opportunity
We are looking for a Marine Superintendent (DP) to join our Tech & Operations team.
This is a full-time position based in our Perth office.
Reporting to General Manager – Marine, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient marine operation of the company's DP vessels.
You will also provide technical, operational, and navigational expertise to support vessel masters and crews, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental protection and operational performance.
This position drives continuous improvement in safety culture, marine assurance and DP operational excellence, contributing directly to the reliability and commercial success of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Build marine capability in the fleet through coaching and mentoring of Masters and provide training advice to HR.
Manage the mobilisation of marine assets and chartered vessels into and out of operations.
Provide marine expertise to the operations and project teams and support the business development tendering process, ensuring new ventures are deliverable.
Maintain and develop key marine operating procedures.
Form part of the group auditing team contributing to compliance requirements.
Attend client HAZID reviews, safety forums and rig move meetings to represent the company.
Ensure full commitment and implementation of Target 365 in the international fleet.
Ensure HSEQ and T365 objectives and required behaviours are understood by all team members.
Identify, design and implement opportunities to improve performance.
Personally exhibit an uncompromising stand on safety risk tolerance and management.
Ensure vessels are well prepared for client audits.
Fully understand the regulatory requirements of own role.
Contribute to the renovation and development of fit-for-purpose systems.
Model behaviour that is consistent with the purpose of the systems.
Identify and report opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
Class 1 or Class 2 Deck, certified DPO.
Sailed in Senior Management role onboard DP 2 / 3 vessels.
Relevant experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of maritime compliance systems including ISM, ISPS, OCIMF and MLC.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of business compliance systems.
Experience in AHTS operations and SUBSEA DP operations.
Management of IMR/DSV vessels.
NI DP accreditation.
