**About the role**
We are looking for a highly capable and skilled leader to join our Community Services team on a permanent, full-time basis in the role of Head Teacher based at Ballina.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the role of Head Teacher involves a broad range of activities which directly and indirectly support learning through the delivery of educational programs. Key tasks include maintaining educational standards, contributing to the development of teaching methods and resources, providing guidance and support to staff, and liaising with key stakeholders.
**About You**
You are a highly capable leader who has relevant and extensive experience in the Community Services sector and adult education. You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor your staff and students, with demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team in a high-volume work environment to achieve successful outcomes. You enjoy working collaboratively where you can share your extensive insight and knowledge with industry partners, the community and colleagues to ensure TAFE courses remain relevant, responsive and impactful.
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Community Services or similar (minimum)
- Diploma of Adult Education (minimum) OR
- Hold TAE40116 (or equivalent) and commit to obtaining Diploma (minimum) within 18 months
- Minimum three years post-qualification experience in sector, gained no longer than five years previously
- Demonstrated high level of adult learning and teaching competence
- Thorough knowledge and technical expertise relevant to current teaching methods
- Demonstrated educational leadership and sound administrative skills, with the ability to plan, manage and monitor financial, human, and physical resources
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with industry and community to identify, plan and implement relevant courses and service
