The Graduate Mining Engineer is responsible for assisting the Underground Engineers in ongoing underground operations and critical infrastructure projects. You will gain knowledge and associated skills which are relevant to the gold mining industry and discipline specific training.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining up-to-date and accurate mine engineering information.
* Reviewing mine engineering performance on a daily basis with coordination contact with mine production personnel.
* Exposure to and training in ventilation, drill and blast and pastefill engineering duties. Coverage for leave in these roles as required.
* Ensure mine development is in accordance with mine engineering standards.
* Contributing to ensuring there is a comprehensive suite of 'fit-for-purpose' systems in place and that these are being used in the Mining Department.
* Contributing to ensuring timely, accurate reporting within the Mining Department.
* Taking an active role in formulating and executing Building Brilliance projects.
Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
* Degree qualification in Engineering
* Proficient in technical writing, reporting and communicating of technical data to relevant parties as required
* Demonstrated safety and communication skills
* 1st Aid training and 4WD experience desirable
* Manual WA Drivers License
