Opportunities exist for a motivated & reliable Butcher and/or Chicken Boner with immediate starts available to the right person/s
About the role:
Classic Meats Townsville's supplies portion control and all processed meat requirements to our network of foodservice distribution facilities that supply to hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions.
* Monday - Friday working days (No Weekends)
* Early starts & early finishes - you get to enjoy your afternoons to pursue whatever your passions may be or to collect your children from school (4:45am – 12:51pm)
* Medium sized team
Duties include (but not limited to):
* Cut bulk Meat product to customer's orders
* Dis-joint poultry and cut into portions such as fillets, skin on, skin off etc
* Assisting with production of sausages, mince, patties & crumbing of products
* Work co-operatively with all team members
* General processing room duties and liaise with other departments
* Assisting with clean down at the end of day
Skills and experience:
* Experience within the wholesale and or retail butchery environment, Chicken boning and the preparation of portions to a high standard
* Must be competent with a boning knife and show skills to produce satisfactory products according to customer specifications
* Committed to high standards of personal hygiene and maintaining WHS standards
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
* Enthusiastic and willing to commit to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
* Good communication skills
