Lead Cyber Advisor (12 months or more contract roles)
Work location: QLD, ACT, VIC
Security clearances needed – Nv2 or PV
We are seeking multiple Lead Cyber Advisors to provide expert ICT and cyber security
advice across government environments.These roles suit experienced cyber professionals
who can influence security posture through assessment, policy, and strategic guidance.
Successful candidates will contribute to system accreditation activities, cyber risk assessment,
policy development, and high-quality security reporting, while engaging with senior
stakeholders locally and internationally. You will also play a key role in mentoring teams and
driving continuous improvement in cyber security practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead system certification and validation activities supporting accreditation
* Produce high-quality cyber security reporting, policy, and formal advice
* Analyse security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities to strengthen security posture
* Translate complex cyber security concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Research and influence cyber security practices, principles, and policy development
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide trusted cyber security advice
* Mentor and guide team members, ensuring effective delivery of outcomes
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and security frameworks
* Key Requirements
* Active NV2 or TSPV security clearance (mandatory)
* Strong experience in cyber security assurance, risk, or advisory roles
* Ability to operate at a strategic and operational level
* IRAP Assessor certification – desirable
