About the Role
MNCCC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team.
Reporting to the Executive Operations, this role supports the Board, CEO, and senior leaders to meet governance, regulatory, and compliance obligations across our growing system of education services.
You will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening MNCCC's risk and compliance framework, helping to ensure our operations align with our MNCCC ethos, strategic priorities, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Maintain statutory records, governance registers, and document retention systems.
Prepare and lodge regulatory and statutory returns (e.g. ASIC, ACNC, and other regulators).
* Assist with the preparation of Risk reports, track action items, and support effective governance processes.
* Support the development, management, and monitoring of risk registers across the organisation.
* Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and provide advice on compliance implications.
* Develop and maintain training materials, resources, and tools to strengthen risk and compliance awareness across the organisation.
* Provide general administrative, reporting, and coordination support to governance and compliance functions, with a focus on accuracy, defensibility, and audit readiness.
About You
* You are an organised, motivated professional who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring:
* Relevant qualifications in risk, compliance, governance, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience in a regulated environment.
* Demonstrated experience in a governance, risk, or compliance role, ideally within education, not-for-profit, or another regulated environment.
* Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of the organisation.
* High attention to detail, strong analytical and organisational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in sensitive or high-risk compliance matters.
* A flexible, proactive approach, with the willingness to travel occasionally to college sites within the Mid North Coast and elsewhere for Professional Development.
* A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
