About Us
We are a leading Perth-based innovator in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), specialising in prefabricated modular homes using the award-winning SipFormTM Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) system. Manufactured in Perth, our homes are transported Australia-wide, with a strong emphasis on delivering rapid, energy-efficient housing solutions to regional and remote Western Australia – addressing critical housing shortages in mining communities, indigenous projects, and growing regional towns.
About the Role
You will supervise and actively participate in the rapid on-site erection of SipFormTM modular homes in regional WA, often achieving lock-up in weeks rather than months. Projects include social housing, mining accommodation, family homes, and community developments in remote areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Studying drawings and specifications to determine required materials and managing the structural assembly and installation sequences for SipFormTM structural insulated panels.
* Measuring and cutting materials to required sizes using power and hand tools, ensuring precision cutting and fitting for airtightness and 7-star energy compliance.
* Directing crane-assisted placement of prefabricated panels and securing them to foundations to ensure accurate SIP panel placement using specialised structural fixings.
* Building and installing rafters, specialised timber/steel joints, and structural members, focusing on framework and fixing to integrate the SipFormTM system with internal services.
* Applying technical sealing methods and structural adhesives to panel joints, providing expert sealing and weatherproofing for the building envelope in harsh regional environments.
* Identifying and resolving structural alignment issues or material discrepancies on-site through technical troubleshooting, particularly in remote or challenging regional settings.
* Overseeing the handling, storage, and protection of prefabricated components and timber materials to maintain high-standard material coordination during transport and assembly.
* Leading a small assembly team on-site while providing leading hand supervision and technical guidance to ensure all work meets the National Construction Code (NCC).
About You
We need a resilient leader with proven carpentry expertise and team supervision, ideally suited to regional and remote work.
* Extensive carpentry experience (7+ years), including framing, renovations, bespoke timber, and structural works
* Supervisory/leading hand experience (team coordination, contractor management, site oversight)
* Project skills: planning, cost control, risk assessment, and decisive problem-solving
* Willingness to work regionally/remotely (FIFO/DIDO experience advantageous)
* Safety-focused; Australian White Card required)
* Full driver's licence (HR licence desirable for regional travel)
* Eligibility for sponsored visa
* Exposure to SIPs, panelised/modular systems, or prefab assembly
* Background in large-scale projects, technical installations, or logistical coordination (e.g., offshore/international)
* Experience in remote/site-based construction
What We Offer
* Highly competitive salary with regional loading, overtime, and site allowances
* Flights, accommodation, and meals on regional sites
* Career progression in Australia\'s fastest-growing MMC sector
