The Role
The Director – Billing & Revenue Operations Strategy will work directly with enterprise organisations to analyse how billing and payment operations function today, and help design how those systems should evolve in the future.
This role is designed for people who have operated or led billing, payments or revenue operations inside large organisations, and want to help shape how those systems evolve across industries.
You will work closely with teams responsible for:
* billing operations
* finance and cashflow management
* credit and collections
* customer engagement and contact centres
The role will partner closely with Glider's Head of Product, Platform & AI Strategy, ensuring real-world operational insight helps shape how the platform evolves.
While the Product team focuses on building the platform, this role focuses on how organisations redesign their billing and payment operations using it.
What You'll Do
Revenue Lifecycle & Billing Strategy
Work directly with enterprise customers to analyse and redesign billing and payment operating models.
Study how organisations currently manage:
* customer engagement around bills
* delinquency and arrears management
* repayment plans and hardship programs
* recovery and escalation processes
Help organisations redesign these processes to improve:
* operational efficiency
AI-Driven Revenue Operations
Identify where AI-enabled workflows and automation can improve billing and payment operations.
Help organisations explore how AI agents and intelligent engagement can support processes such as:
* recovery optimisation
Develop practical approaches for introducing AI into billing and revenue operations.
Work with customers and finance teams to build business cases for modernising billing and payment operations.
Model the financial impact of lifecycle improvements such as:
* increased recovery rates
Partner with finance teams to quantify impact on:
* operational efficiency
Develop revenue lifecycle impact models to support investment decisions.
Payment Infrastructure & Industry Change
Help organisations understand how emerging payment infrastructure such as PayTo and account-to-account payments can transform billing operations.
Track developments across:
* payment regulation and industry standards
Work with banks, payment platforms and ecosystem partners across the payments landscape.
Inform Platform Evolution
Translate operational insight into strategic input for Glider's platform roadmap.
Work closely with the Head of Product, Platform & AI Strategy to ensure the platform reflects real industry needs.
Help identify new capabilities and opportunities based on operational patterns observed across organisations.
Industry Leadership
Contribute to Glider's work defining best practice for modern billing and revenue operations.
Share insights on the future of billing, payments and AI-driven revenue lifecycle management.
Help establish Glider as a leader in revenue lifecycle transformation.
Who This Role Is For
This role is designed for people who have operated or transformed billing and payment systems inside large organisations.
We're particularly interested in people with experience in areas such as:
* billing or revenue operations leadership
* payments product or infrastructure roles
* credit or collections strategy
* large-scale billing transformation programs
Industry experience in utilities, insurance, telecommunications or financial services would be particularly valuable.
Candidates who have worked in banks, payment networks, fintech platforms or enterprise billing environments may also be strong fits.
