The opportunity
Reporting to the senior mining engineer, the role will be responsible for daily planning, short-term mine schedule, mine designs, production plans and production reporting in support of the company's open pit mine and production activity.
This is a permanent full-time role based at our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region, which operates on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver daily and short‐term mine plans and production schedules.
* Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
* Monitor production performance and conformance to plan.
* Chair daily production and weekly planning meetings.
* Work closely with Mining, Geology, Survey and Drill & Blast teams to optimise outcomes.
* Provide clear work instructions, dig directions and sequencing guidance.
* Maintain accurate production data and mine planning systems.
* Ensure mine designs, schedules and activities meet safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
About You
* Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in short‐term mine planning, scheduling and production reporting within an open pit operation.
* Working knowledge of mine planning and scheduling software (e.g. Surpac, Alastri or similar).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor performance and drive conformance to plan.
* Confident communicator able to collaborate with cross‐functional operational teams.
* Safety‐focused, with a commitment to environmental and regulatory compliance.
