CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Power & Control to join our client's major EPCM operations based in Brisbane, QLD.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and technically capable Electrical Engineer to support a global EPCM company operating across the resources, mining, infrastructure, and utilities sectors. Working across major projects from feasibility through to on-site commissioning, you will play a key role in the design, project management, and delivery of power and control systems. This is a senior engineering role suited to someone who thrives in a project-driven environment, brings strong technical expertise in electrical and control systems design, and is confident leading outcomes across the full project lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Lead feasibility studies, design, project management, and commissioning activities
* Design and deliver power and control systems within heavy industrial and resources environments
* Work with a range of PLCs including Schneider, Siemens, and Allen Bradley
* Manage new project scopes from early-stage feasibility through to on-site commissioning
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams, site supervisors, and client stakeholders
* Conduct equipment inspections, pre-starts, and identify maintenance requirements where applicable
* Maintain accurate project documentation, design registers, and reporting
* Work in alignment with site safety systems and engineering standards
* Proactively identify and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
* Contribute to achieving project milestones while maintaining quality workmanship
Our Ideal Candidate
* Electrical Engineering qualifications (degree level)
* Minimum 5-7+ years' experience in power and control systems design
* Experience with PLCs including Schneider, Siemens, and Allen Bradley
* Background in power generation within heavy industrial or resources environments
* RPEQ qualified, or ability to obtain accreditation
* Strong ability to troubleshoot and fault-find complex technical issues
* Confident reading and interpreting electrical drawings and design documentation
* Excellent communication skills with strong leadership and teamwork capability
* Full Australian working rights
