Job Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant - Aged Care Rapid Response Team
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and leadership in the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2. This is a temporary full-time position.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop hospital avoidance strategies to optimize care for people aged 70 and over within Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) and the community.
* Promote policy formulation, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities.
* Provide clinical supervision to nursing staff and act as a role model, delivering high-quality nursing care on a regular basis.
* Enhance RACF staff capacity through the promotion of evidence-based practice and advanced care planning.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* A minimum of five years of postgraduate experience, with three years of full-time equivalent in the specialty field.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills across various mediums.
* Ability to undertake quality improvement and research activities that influence and enhance clinical practice.
This is a NSW Health Category A position, requiring immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
