Overview
Lead Engineer Asset Management to lead a diverse team of professionals and collaborate with other key staff to manage the balance of cost, performance and risk across Council's Water and Sewerage assets. This role supports the asset owner responsibilities for the Water and Sewer Directorate and aims to maximise the value of over $3B of Water and Sewerage assets for the community.
Responsibilities
* Lead a diverse team of professionals and collaborate with other key staff to manage cost, performance and risk across Council's Water and Sewerage asset portfolio.
* Prepare strategic asset management plans, guide asset monitoring and reporting functions, and initiate/deliver major projects and renewal programs.
* Align with the NSW Government's Strategic Planning Assurance Framework for Local Water Utilities and other regulatory bodies.
* Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Qualifications
* A Degree in Engineering or related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, with ongoing professional development. Asset management accreditations are desirable.
* Extensive experience in planning and management of water supply and sewerage treatment/distribution infrastructure with knowledge of design, construction and operation of water/sewerage schemes.
* Understanding of engineering principles related to asset management and strategic planning of water and sewerage infrastructure.
* Demonstrated leadership behaviours, including communication about performance, strategy, diversity, coaching and mentoring, and change management.
* Ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence outcomes across the organisation.
Salary and Conditions
* Salary range of $111.1k to $133.6k plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance (in accordance with the Award) plus 12% Superannuation. A market loading payment may apply for the right candidate based on skills and experience.
* Permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight and hybrid work arrangement (2 days from home, 3 days onsite).
* Leaseback vehicle provided for official duties and private use; vehicle policy applies. If a vehicle is not available, a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is temporarily applied.
* Location: Wyong Administration Building.
