**The Department**
Alfred Health's Dietetics and Nutrition Department provides an integrated nutrition and dietetic service at The Alfred, Sandringham and Caulfield Hospitals. The joint Nutrition Department is comprised of approximately 48EFT and 70 staff members. It is organised into eight clinical streams and provides a 7-day service. Using evidence-based, patient-centred care it provides clinical expertise to Alfred Health's patients during their healthcare journey, including the prevention and treatment of malnutrition and the optimisation of nutritional wellbeing and recovery through tailored, specialised nutrition therapy.
**Position Summary**
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated Nutrition Assistant (NA) to join Alfred Health's Dietetics and Nutrition Department. Working in conjunction with Dietitians, the NA will help to improve patient experience and outcomes by supporting the provision of nutrition to patients, families and carers at Alfred Heath. The NA will support various clinical interventions designed to provide timely access to high-quality nutritional care. This role also includes the provision of administration support, helping ensure that department tasks are managed in an appropriate, timely and efficient manner.
