We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner who can take ownership of planning and trading across multiple categories within a fast-paced multi-store retail environment.

About the role:
This role will suit someone with solid planning experience who enjoys working closely with Buying teams to drive commercial outcomes through data-driven planning, forecasting and stock management.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the right stock is available at the right time across our store network, while identifying opportunities to improve stock flow, trading performance and planning processes.
This role sits at the centre of the commercial team and works closely with Buying, Product, Supply Chain, Marketing and Retail Operations.
Please note the role will be required onsite in Geelong full time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own merchandise planning and in-season trading across assigned product categories
• Build and manage sales forecasts, inventory plans and stock flow strategies
• Analyse sales trends, inventory performance and demand signals to drive planning decisions
• Partner closely with Buying teams to build commercially balanced assortments
• Identify trading risks and opportunities early and implement actions to maximise sales and margin
• Manage stock levels across the store network to ensure strong availability and sell-through
• Support promotional and campaign planning through data-led insights
• Deliver clear reporting and performance insights to stakeholders across the business
• Conduct post-season reviews to drive continuous improvement in planning decisions
• Contribute to improving planning processes, tools and reporting frameworks as the business scales
About You:
• 3+ years’ experience in merchandise planning, demand planning or retail inventory planning
• Strong experience planning within a multi-store retail environment
• Highly analytical with advanced Excel capability
• Proven experience managing categories or large product ranges
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to translate data into clear actions
• Comfortable collaborating with Buying teams and cross-functional stakeholders
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A proactive mindset with a focus on improving systems, processes and outcomes
