About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and collaborative professional to lead our Council's Infrastructure and Transport team. This role will be pivotal in driving the locally focused transport and flood mitigation solutions linking our communities with place of work, transport hubs and places of interest.
This role will be responsible for:
4. Developing local transport solutions in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
5. Coordinating the delivery of flood studies, floodplain risk management studies and plans
6. Managing consultants and ensuring projects meet deadlines
7. Providing local transport strategy, stormwater and flood advice
8. Preparing complex reports
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
9. Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Transport Planning Engineering, or equivalent qualifications acceptable to the Institute of Engineers Australia at Member level.
10. Extensive relevant experience in traffic and flood management planning.
11. Proven experience in leading a technical team.
12. General understanding of infrastructure requirements in a local government context.
13. High level communication skills
